This is a brand new K&N 57-Series FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) Air Intake System. We are an Authorized Dealer of K&N Engineering and carry the full line of products. Please contact our sales department for any additional information on all of our products at 623.580.8887. Fits the following applications. 94-’97 Ford F250/F350 Powerstroke 7.3L Turbo Diesel. K&N 57 Series Gen II Air Intake Kits (FIPK’s) are built for many different vehicles and represent a dramatic improvement over a K&N O/E replacement filter alone; they use only non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube. Restriction can exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of a K&N Air Filter. The weakest link in the airflow chain robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. Often that weak point is the factory air path leading to the Engine. K&N Air Intake Kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered tube drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into POWER. K&N 57 Series kits are truly state-of-the-art. They start with the largest conical shaped high-flow air filter they can fit into the engine compartment while using factory holes and mounting points. This extra filter size provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversized air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). When possible, the filter is isolated from high engine temperature by a heat shield designed to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine, which increases horsepower. Next they attach the filter to a rotationally molded tube made from interlaced High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). This process allows us to precisely shape the tube to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. This is why some of the tubes have unique shapes that are specifically engineered for each application. Finally the tube is connected to the engine with adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. Put all this together and you have the best high-flow intake system available today. K&N systems are built for horsepower. If they cant increase a car or truck’s horsepower they wont build a system for it. They establish a stock baseline horsepower with an in house dynamometers and then design their air intakes to get the largest horsepower gain attainable without causing a Check Engine Light to come on. Horsepower numbers are not based on the single biggest gain from one particular vehicle but are an average of runs and vehicles. Many times an identical vehicle will perform differently so we want to ensure repeatable numbers you can count on. In todays market place there are some pretty big cold air intake claims. We dont make claims; we present the facts, backed up by well documented tests. How does K&N increase horsepower so consistently? It all starts with The Worlds Best Air Filter. Even a K&N replacement air filter is limited by the size of the original air box but once the air box is removed there is plenty of room to work with. Now, a High-Flow Technology is applied to a large conical open element air filter, providing more surface area for huge increases in airflow that turn into horsepower you can feel. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt. This increases the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles for air intakes depending on driving conditions). Improving the air path between the air filter and the motor is the next big area of improvement. K&N offers two options for many of our air intake applications. Part numbers starting with 57 or 63 (except Gen 1 and 57i Series) incorporate molded High Density Polyethylene tubes that are black in color. Part numbers starting in 69 or 77 have aluminum tubes and are polished, powder coated or anodized. The molded Polyethylene systems offer us the most flexibility in air intake design and the best possible horsepower numbers. The aluminum intake systems offer power with a more stylish look. Many K&N Intake Systems are street legal in all 50 states and include a California Air Resource Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number that ensures the kit has been tested to comply with emissions standards. EO numbers apply to the kit as well as the year, make and model it is being installed on. Systems with no EO number are street legal in most states but may not be used on emissions controlled vehicles in the state of California. Use K&N’s search by part to see which cold air intakes are CARB exempt for which vehicles. K&N invented the worlds first air filter guaranteed for one million miles. K&N products are well engineered, built with the finest materials and we stand behind them 100%. Thats the great part, K&N air intake systems are easy to install. A typical installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet-set in 90 minutes or less! K&N specifically engineers their kits to use existing factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of K&N cold air intakes do NOT require any cutting or drilling. 57-Series FIPK Air Intake Features. Guaranteed to Provide more HP and Increased Acceleration. Engineered to Specific Vehicle Design. Easy to Install, Usually in 90 minutes or less! Lasts up to 100,000 Miles Before Service is Required (depending on driving conditions).
